Good luck to the tuition fees

General Thoughts

Thursday, 09 December 2010 07:33

Really really hope the tuition bill passes today. I am all in favour of university and want it to be as affordable as possible but as someone who went to uni and dropped out I still have to pay back fees when I got nothing from the system and I welcome the government raising the threshold to £21k so most of the people I know from uni pay back considerably less while the rich future bankers will pay much more, that sounds very fair to me.

General Thoughts

Seems this was posted on digg, http://hewreck.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/MUPdR.jpg, saying how amazing it is when it seems a crappy copy of my sandwich here at drinkpedia. I get loads of US traffic to the site but even if they have never seen my one, which is very likely I have to say!!!, they have ruined what is a great idea with crappy american cheese.

edit: now my faith in Digg has been restored, after posting my link someone else tried my sandwich http://jimmithy.tumblr.com/post/861295097/i-had-a-go-at-hughes-sandwich-used-less-bacon-and

Curuxz gets a redesign

My Design Work

Friday, 23 July 2010 09:58

I have been meaning for a while now to update the design on curuxz.com and today I get to! The old one was OK but not really something that I was fully happy with. It was done very much in haste when I was busy readying the first versions of ORB. Now that I am working with FirmSites and site deployment is much faster it seemed to make sense to upgrade the design in the process. A quick comparison of the designs:
